50 years ago John McCarthy published a number of papers for his researh in designing a new programming language. These were the firts steps of Lisp, definitely the most advanced and beautiful programming language in the history. The researh linked with this language made a great influence on almost every modern programming language, and the Lisp itself is still in use.
